Once again, I am taking a small group to southern Belize in March to chase permit, perhaps the ultimate prize on a fly rod. It is not unusual to see 200 permit in a day on the flats we fish – the most exciting sight in the world! Including internal flights from Belize City, full board accommodation in a comfortable lodge on the edge of the jungle, and 6 days guided fishing, it’s real value at US$2500. If you share my craving for these extraordinary fish, this is one of the best places, and a very good time to go!
